I used to enjoy reading back over my Chesham United Travels in the early 1990's and I hoped others did too. The discovery of the blog means I have no excuses for not doing it again...The only difference is, as time has evolved, my weekend sport watching and passion is being shared with rugby, and in particular Saracens. The "Little Things"
First published in the Hungerford programme on 10th December 2013...It’s been nearly twenty years now since a young Rob King and a young Alan Calder, so used to watching Chesham United every Saturday, chose to take a weekend off and head to the coast. For some inexplicable reason we chose Margate (back then a more desirable resort than our most recent visit from what I remember). Young, free and single, we pitched up on the train, popped into Tourist Information and booked ourselves a B&B for the weekend. We had a Friday night out, and then on the Saturday we chose to catch another train over to Dover and watch Dover Athletic, they were playing Stalybridge Celtic in a Conference League match.

To Budget Boost, or not to budget boost...
Wow, it has been a long time since a blog update, there is a good reason for that which we will come on to later, but I wanted to use this site to talk more about the Budget Booster scheme from Chesham United FC...in more of an "unofficial" capacity.

One Club. Chesham United.
Well, well, well… 1-0 to the Chesham is seeing us sneak up the table and get hot on the tail of those above us in the hunt for a play-off spot, even our local rivals Hemel Hempstead Town, who at one stage were miles ahead of us, are suddenly within sniffing distance. The season is certainly heading towards a potentially exciting climax, there is a belief around the club that we can achieve what seemed impossible at Christmas...
