With the long overdue FA Cup run safely in the bag, whatever happens in the next round, a massive cloud has been lifted from over the club. For the manager it is a huge relief to have overcome what has become the stumbling block for an otherwise incredible record at the club, for supporters the competition remains the one that can galvanise an atmosphere and create some real local excitement and for the Board the income becomes a massive boost towards the finances which, at the end of the day, will always be the biggest issue at the top end of the club. So is the FA Cup run money life changing?
I used to enjoy reading back over my Chesham United Travels in the early 1990's and I hoped others did too. The discovery of the blog means I have no excuses for not doing it again...The only difference is, as time has evolved, my weekend sport watching and passion is being shared with rugby, and in particular Saracens. The Great Day...Ever?
At last, a blog update that is safe to publish! After all the ups and downs of recent years it was brilliant to go back to what I love best - Writing about Chesham United as a fan. Nothing more, just a loving, dedicated, fan. This article formed part of the weekly Chesham United newsletter, but it seemed worthy of a permanent place on the blog site. Enjoy the memories...

Season fades to an end...
It's been a while (understatement), lots of unpublished words, but amazingly struggling to maintain enough interest to keep it going...Programme notes from Saturday's game v Burnham probably best sum things up....
